PETRONILA G. REYES March 10, 1934 - June 14, 2016 Peacefully, Petronila "Nanay Pet" Reyes was called to be with our Lord on June 14, 2016, at the age of 82 years. Nanay Pet was born on March 10, 1934 in Macabebe, Pampanga, Philippines, to late Cornelio and Aurelia Garcia. In her youth, she married Amado Reyes, Sr. and became mother to six children. In 1989, she immigrated to Canada, where she worked as a hotel housekeeper, a babysitter and eventually settling to help raise her grandchildren. Nanay Pet is predeceased by her parents, her husband and her sisters, Talia, Dionisia and Antang. She is survived by her children, Erlinda (George), Jocelyn (Danny), JoJo, Myrna, Ricardo (Francisca) and Amado "Jheng", Jr. (Natasha); her sisters, Paning, Aning and Elly; her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She will be missed by all. The family would like to thank the staff at Maples Personal Care Home for the loving care Nanay received. Lamay/Viewing will be held on Friday, June 24, 2016 commencing at 6:00 p.m. at Mosaic Funeral Chapel, 1839 Inkster Blvd., Winnipeg, MB. Vigil Prayers at 7:30 p.m., Rev. Father Rainerio Sarce officiating. Mass of the Resurrection will take place on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward's Roman Catholic Church, 836 Arlington St., Winnipeg, MB.
