ALEXANDER LIONEL TALBOT 1929 - 2016 Peacefully, with his beloved wife Eileen at his side, Alex passed away on Monday, June 20, 2016. Alex will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his three "girls" Eileen, Ginger and Pepper. Alex was born in Serpent River, Ontario on August 13, 1929. He served in the Canadian Army from September of 1952 to March of 1956. Alex married the love of his life Eileen on July 22, 1961. Alex and Eileen operated their own highway tractor for Trimac, Kingsway and Motorways where they earned their million-mile awards. In retirement, they spent 12 winters in the Rio Grande Valley in Texas. Alex was an avid golfer and proudly achieved two holes-in-one. He enjoyed many happy hours on the links with his golf buddies. In keeping with Alex's wishes, cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Alex's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU & CO. Hello Eileen .... we are thinking of you and "the girls" at this difficult time of your life. I remember the day you met Alex & from that moment he was your guy! Needless to say, he was a great mate and you have had a remarkable life journey and will miss him terribly .... take good care of yourself!
