Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMADELEINE DHEERE November 15, 1914 - July 5, 2016 Madeleine passed away peacefully at the Convalescent Home of Winnipeg on Tuesday, July 5, 2016. She was predeceased by her parents, Martha and Henri, her sister Mary, her brothers, Marcel and Gus, and her niece Maureen. She is survived by her sister Georgette Samyn (Danny) and their sons, Gerry and Garry; her sister-in-law Jacquie Dheere and her children, Marti and Doug; and her sister-in-law Joyce Dheere and her children, Pat Zaborniak, Leslie Jones, Mike, David, Caite and Janet Dheere. Madeleine was born and raised in St. Boniface and was employed at the Eaton's Mail Order until her retirement in 1974. She was a member of the Belgian Club and enjoyed many happy bingo and other events there, as well as Sundays and special occasions at 410 Cabana. Her trips to visit family in Toronto were very special to her. She lived at Place Des Meurons from 1994 until early this year when she became a resident of Convalescent Home. The family extends thanks to all of the staff members there, in particular Isaac and the third floor team for their excellent care of Madeleine. As well, a note of appreciation to Dr. P. Mehta for his caring and kindness to Madeleine over the years, including his special home visits when she was unable to come to his office. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Home.
