NADYA KOSTYSHYN - BAILEY January 11, 1943 - July 13, 2016 It is with great sadness that the family of Nadya Kostyshyn-Bailey announces her sudden passing on July 13, 2016 at the age of 73. Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • I was one of the very fortunate students at Munroe Junior High to have had Miss Kostyshyn as a teacher her first year out of teacher’s college back in the early 1960’s. I will never forget her most wonderful positive personality and beautiful smile. - Posted by: Doug Anthony (Former student) on: Aug 29, 2018

  • I absolutely adored this beautiful woman. My heart shattered when mom told me of her passing. It may have been a long time since last I saw her, but seeing Mrs. Bailey's sweet face brought back a flood of beautiful memories of spending summers at Albert Beach as a child. Lots of times when I'd get something in my eye or crash my bicycle (which was daily) and I was too embarrassed to go home yet AGAIN to get patched up, I'd head to the Bailey's cabin and she would get me cleaned up and promise it would be our secret. She let us eat sweet peppers like apples and didn't even bat an eye. Every time I'd inform her I was coming for a sleepover she would put a huge smile on her face, grab an extra blanket and ask me what I'd like for dinner. She was so warm and loving and fun. I used loved spending time with her. Her hugs were unlike any other. They had a lingering effect on your soul. She was so gentle in spirit and truly kindhearted. I am so sorry Tom and Tanya. So very sorry. Sending all my love to you. - Posted by: Carla Mendres (friend) on: Jul 21, 2016
