MARGARET ROSE BAKOS (nee WARD) October 17, 1940 - July 16, 2016 With her family by her side, Marge peacefully passed away at the age of 75. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Ray, her children: Jeff (Shelagh), Cheryl (Mike), Wayne (Sherry), and the light of her life her grandchildren: Anthony, Logan, Tyler, Kaylee and Evan. Marge immigrated from England with her parents Percy and Winnie and older brother Robert in 1948 and chose St. James as the place to start their new life. Ray and Marge met in the late 1950s when Marge got a job at Sinclair Valentine where Ray was also working. They married in 1963 and set down roots in St. Vital where they raised their family. Marge stayed at home with the kids for a number of years but when she decided to re-enter the workforce she went to work at Eaton's where she stayed for 17 years. One of Marge's greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren. Whether it was watching them at the hockey rink or on the soccer field, it was always something that brought a smile to her face. A very close second to this was Marge's passion for bingo. It not only gave her a couple of nights out a week, but also allowed her some valued time with friends. Cremation has taken place and as per her wishes with a scattering of the ashes at a later date. No formal service will be held. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion they gave Marge and her family.
