IRENE GAUDRY It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our sister Irene on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the age of 94 years. Irene was born in St. Boniface on February 14, 1922. She was predeceased by her parents, Delphis and Anna Gaudry, her brother Greg and sister Gloria. She will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her brother Rene and sisters, Lenora Raymond and Leona Vandermeer along with her nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by her very dear cousin Rita Bodner. Irene and Rita would go on a shopping spree, then go out for dinner, that was a highlight of her week. Irene loved people and had many friends and loved to laugh. She liked listening to old time music - Andy Desjarlais' Red River Jig, Reggie Bouvette's fiddling and her brother Greg's violin playing. She was a very kind and loving lady. The family would like to thank the staff at Actionmarguerite St. Vital for their loving care and attention. God Bless you all. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating Irene's life will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Home, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in memory of Irene may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J. COUTU & CO. My deepest sympathy to Irene's family. I worked in the same office (Public Press) as Irene did. I had coffee break with her quite often. she was the nicest sweetest lady and was the quiet type that wouldn't say a bad word about anybody. - Posted by: joan porteous (former co-worker) on: Aug 09, 2016
