I first met Dave when I was 10 years old and he and my dad Wayne worked together at Pacific Western. I had the pleasure of working side by side with Dave at Air Canada. He was one of the best and will be missed by us both. - Posted by: Sean Drews (Former co-worker & Friend) on: Aug 16, 2016

Our deepest condolences to Barbara and Bjornson family, on demise of David, who always had a smile and gentleness, which affected anybody who came across him. We had lots done together while working on Northern Argossy operation to remote places. Will miss you, Dave. Our deepest condolences go out to Barbara and the Bjornson family. I worked with Dave for several years at Transair/PWA. Working with him was always a true pleasure, his sense of humor, his talent and his gentle nature was admired and inspired all who worked with him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Bud Lewis (Friend) on: Aug 14, 2016

When I started at Air Canada Dave was one of my assigned Trainers. In field dominated by males it was not easy to find many experienced techs willing to help me out without patronizing or talking down to me. Dave was not one of those guys. He took me under his wing and taught me the trade while protecting me like I was his family at the same time. In time he became known to me as Grampa Dave. I still have the picture Dave gave me standing by his Indian motorcycle that he restored tucked under my toolbox plexiglass. And there it will remain. My deepest condolences go out to the family. Dave your kindness helped me see the light in a dark place and I have succeeded because you helped hold up that light for me many times. Rest in peace. - Posted by: Carol Sicat (Ex-coworker) on: Aug 14, 2016

Deepest sympathies to Barbara and the family. Dave was a superior engineer, and a great guy to be out in the boonies with. Unflappable in the most trying times and environments such as the high Arctic in the dead of winter, and always ready with a laugh. Clear skies and fair winds Davie, you will be missed. - Posted by: Ross Taylor (Co-worker MidWest Airlines/TransAir/ PWA/ Canadian/ Air Canada) on: Aug 13, 2016
