GIUSEPPE BRAMBILLA With great sadness for our loss, we say addio fino a quando ci incontreremo di nuovo' to our beloved husband, father and nonno, Joseph Brambilla. Giuseppe passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, August 15, 2016 in Winnipeg, Manitoba; one week shy of his 84th birthday. Born in Termini Imerese, Sicily on August 22, 1932. Joseph met and married his wife of 63 years, Providenza (Zina). He immigrated to Canada in 1959 leaving his wife and three children to join him once he was settled. Joseph settled in St. Boniface and was an inspiration to his family and those who knew him, he worked hard, loved his family dearly and like so many Italians had a great passion for gardening. Left to mourn his passing and remembering his incredible strength are his wife, Providenza (nee Sgarlata); his children, Antonio, Fortunato (Lynn), Teresa; grandchildren, Steven (Andreea) and Andrew (Amanda); along with his three brothers, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends in Canada and Italy. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of St. Boniface Hospital 6E for the compassionate care given to Giuseppe. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Research Foundation. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue with condolences and viewing one hour prior.
