CYRIL DeROO Suddenly, on Monday, August 22, 2016 at the age of 84, Cyril passed away at his home. Cyril leaves behind to mourn his wife Thérèse; his brother Remi, his sisters, Gerarda, Clara, Alma (Marcel), Madeline; his stepchildren, Suzanne, Sylvia, Jacqueline, Richard and Gisèle; his stepgrandson Dan and Dan's daughter, Cherilyn along with numerous nieces and nephews. Cyril was born in Swan Lake, MB. He attended St. Boniface College and was ordained in the Archdiocese of St. Boniface in 1957. Failing health led to his retirement from ordained ministry. He then worked as a corrections officer where he demonstrated his compassion as well as his sensitivity for the plight of marginalized people. In 1984, Cyril married Thérèse (Mouflier). We will remember Cyril for his passion for spiritual life and for his loving and caring ways when helping others. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 27 at the St. Boniface Cathedral, 190 Avenue de la Cathédrale. His brother Remi will be presiding.
