JOHN PAUL ROBITAILLE It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of John Paul Robitaille on Monday, August 29, 2016 at the Riverview Health Centre at the age of 58 years. John was the devoted husband of Melody (nee Juer) and the caring father of Chantal (Heather) and Scott, all of whom he loved very much. John was a kind and generous man and we will forever cherish his memories. John will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his mother Aimee, brother Larry and sister Cheryl Schindle (Darrell); his brothers and sisters-in-law, Bonnie Demetrioff (Gary), Brenda Martin, Walene Young (Jim), Walter Juer (Sandy), Mark Juer, Debbie Baran, Tim Juer (Leanne), Shannon Benderski (Terry), Doug Jacques; and numerous nieces and nephews who all held a special place in John's heart. John was predeceased by his father John, brother Brian, sister Maureen Jacques, father-in-law Clifford Juer and sister-in-law Lise. John was born in St. Boniface on July 29, 1958, and was the third of five children. On October 4, 1980 John married the love of his life, Melody, and together they became the proud parents of Chantal and Scott. John's home away from home was at Lac du Bonnet where he and his family made many memories fishing and ski-dooing. John always wanted the best for people and was forever going over and above for family and friends. John was an accepting and patient man who would always greet people with a friendly handshake and visit with anyone he met. John enjoyed working for the Brewers Distributors Ltd. for 36 years alongside his brother Larry and many lifelong friends. John was a brave, loving and thoughtful husband, father and friend. Though he has lost his battle to cancer he will be with us in spirit and his memories will always live on. John's family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Riverview Health Centre for the compassionate care they provided to him. In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of John's life will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Norwood Hotel, 112 Marion Street.
