EVA JACOBA KAMKE (nee KETLER) April 18, 1927 - September 5, 2016 After a very courageous 10 year battle with cancer, our beautiful Mother and Grandmother, Eva Jacoba Kamke, of Libau, Manitoba, passed away on September 5, 2016 at the age of 89 years. Eva was predeceased by her husband William, her parents, one sister and four brothers. Those left to cherish her memory are daughter Wanda (Len) Bergman, son John Kamke, grandsons Benjamin (Amara) Bergman and Daniel (Rachel) Bergman, three sisters and one brother, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Eva had a passion for nature and very much enjoyed the peace and solitude of her 40 acre home in Libau. There her creativity and green thumb allowed her to grow large vegetable gardens and many flowers over the years. She also had a soft heart for animals and adopted and cared for many of them. We take comfort in the fact that her suffering is over and that she is now safe in the arms of her Lord and Saviour. We would like to thank Dr. Demsas, Dr. Harris and all the nurses and support staff at Selkirk Hospital for the wonderful care and compassion that they have provided for Mother. A private family memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.
