RUSSELL GAWRILUK It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Russell Gawriluk on September 14, 2016. He leaves to mourn his wife Corinne, nephew Ken Teplyske, his extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Frank and Mary Gawriluk, sister Helen Teplyske (Bill) and nephew Perry. Russ was born on October 14, 1951, in Selkirk, MB. Over the years, Russ worked at Crescent Fruit, Continental Can, Aqua Tech and the last 19 years at Boeing. He was an avid outdoorsman with fishing being one of his favorite activities. Russ also loved to golf and play shuffleboard. He especially enjoyed spending time with his friends telling jokes, stories and having a good time. He will also be sadly missed by many, his working crew from Boeing, friends from Gizzy's, the gang at C.C.C., his fishing buddies just to mention a few. A celebration of Russ's life will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel with a viewing to be held prior to the service. Interment will take place following the luncheon in the St. Nicholas Cemetery in Gonor, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Russ's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Pallbearers will be Johnny Morgoch, Clarence Rebizant, Daryll Born, Stephane Gallant, Ed Papineau, Doug Zawada and John Schur. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Best, Mike Stokes, Bill Hanson, Terry Mitchell and Chris Coulombe. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

RUSSELL GAWRILUK On Wednesday, September 14, 2016, Russ Gawriluk, aged 64 years of Winnipeg, MB. passed away. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk, MB. A viewing will be held prior to the service.   • Had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Russell the past 20 years. He was a character for sure but we helped each other out a lot on the job and outside of work. Myself and a few others were with him in his final moments and it was hard to see but I hope he's now found the peace he was so looking forward to in his retirement.
