Date of Passing: Aug 13, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBENOIT (BEN) PELLETIER 1925 - 2016 On Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Tuxedo Villa, Ben took his final journey into the next world. He'd been looking forward to joining his former wife Winnie (Winifred Hopfner), their son Kurt Pelletier, and grandsons Jesse Pelletier and Adam Wallace. He passed very peacefully in full confidence he will be with them in heaven. Ben leaves behind loving daughters Léa Pelletier, Rena (Dave) Wallace and Carla Pelletier (Michael) Gray; granddaughter Caitilin Pelletier (Matt Martin); great-grandchildren Jakob Wallace and Moss, Eowyn and Avram Martin; wife Mary Lou Pelletier (separated) and her family; sisters Lucille Gagnon, Simone (Bernard) Worrall, and Jeanne Guillas, brother Paul Pelletier; and many nieces, nephews and longtime friends. Ben grew up in Ste. Amelie, Manitoba, the eldest son of a farming family. He learned quickly the value of hard work and honed his skills as a mechanic, a career which lasted his whole working life and led to the purchase of Independent Equipment. While Ben worked hard, he enjoyed life to the fullest, loving to spend time with good friends, making music, singing and playing the guitar. Ben loved his family, loved to travel, loved to fish, and loved being retired, but especially he loved children and puppies. On Ben's behalf, his daughters would like to thank for their care and support: Michael and Lynne Guertin, who have always been like family; his caregivers Cora and Tyler from Comforts of Home-Care; and, the exceptional staff at Tuxedo Villa for their loving care. He loved you all. In keeping with Ben's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John Brébeuf Roman Catholic Church, 1707 John Brebeuf Place. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the St. Paul's High School "Class of 1976 Bursary Fund".
