JOSEPH ALEC NELSON (Twirling Cloud) November 7, 1953 - September 18, 2016 Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre. He will be sadly missed by his children, Josephine Nelson, Lydia Laroque (Aaron), Janthina Thomas (Tom), Larissa Thomas (Selina), Lois Thomas (Ryan M.), Josette Severight (Ryan S.); his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; also his sisters and one brother, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife Evelyn Smith, parents Joseph Atkinson and Gladys Nelson, grandsons Riel Severight, Elijah Thomas, Brother Calvin Nelson. Joe was a proud father, grandfather and great grandfather. He talked about his grandsons that play hockey, and his granddaughters that helped him out a lot. He will be truly missed by his daughters. Traditional wake services will take place at Roseau River Reserve, Monday September 19, 2016 to September 22, 2016. He will be laid to rest at Roseau Rapids, Friday September 23, 2016 at 12 Noon.
