JANICE FRYKAS May 3, 1947 - September 20, 2016 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom on September 20, 2016 at the age of 69. Janice was born in Winnipeg, MB. She graduated from St. Mary's Academy then worked at National Drugs until her first daughter was born. When family circumstances changed, she returned to the workforce and was employed for many years at Richardson Greenshields, then at the Northwest Company until she retired. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was actively involved with the UCWLC, Perogy Project, Polson School Breakfast Program, Foresters Canada, and various charities. She is survived by her daughters Michele (Bryan Foerster) and Nancy (Dan) Suga, grandchildren Dalton and Mikaela Foerster, Alex and Kenji Suga, sisters Marj Sontag (Calgary, AB), Pat Lapointe (Nashville, TN), and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Michael (2008), parents Michael and Anne Hnybida, and brother Isadore. We wish to thank family, friends and all who took time out of their busy lives to visit Mom and who sent their prayers and thoughts. She was touched by everyone's kindness and support. We would also like to thank the staff on 5B, 8A, and Dr. Li at St. Boniface Hospital. Funeral divine liturgy will be celebrated by Fr. Michael Kwiatkowski on Monday, September 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Church, 505 Watt St. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation - Palliative Care, or a charity of your choice in her memory. The smile and the sparkle will always live on with fond memories and in the smiles of your children, grandchildren and the future family to come. Your door was always open, no matter how long it had been – we would catch up and smile with each other and so enjoy the time together. Sharing your last days with me will always be a memory in my heart. You and Mike always had a special bond that could be felt; there was a twinkle that came out in your eyes when you talked to each other. When the kids came along, there was even more sunshine that would radiate. May you be together forever to watch over your family and all the others from you life together. Love you always, Karen - Posted by: Karen Shalanski (Neice) on: Sep 26, 2016
