Date of Passing: Sep 19, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCASSIE RAE QUIERING With an ocean of tears and shattered hearts we announce the passing of Cassie Rae Quiering, on September 19, 2016 at the age of 25 years. Cassie leaves to cherish her memory, her parents Sieg and Shelley Quiering; her sister Cali; her boyfriend Justin Goritz; her Nan Sharon Kulczycki; her Opa Peter Quiering; her aunts and uncles, Shauna (Darren) Smerechyski, Elly (Murray) Philips, Elfreida Quiering, Heinz Quiering; cousins, Allan, Adam, Steven and Laney; and many, many friends too numerous to mention. She also leaves to mourn her very close friends and neighbours Corey and Brigitte Anscomb and their children John and Juliette. She is predeceased by her grandpa Raymond Kulczycki; her Oma Helene Quiering and her special aunty Rose Boer. From the moment she arrived, August 16, 1991, she was a ray of sunshine that touched everyone and brightened all our days. She was a happy baby and photogenic from the start. As she grew up we were able to witness a vibrant girl who easily made friends and excelled in all that she set out to do. Even in elementary school she was always a willing participant in many school functions and clubs. As she progressed through junior high and high school, her light just grew brighter and brighter. She was determined to succeed and have fun along the way. After high school she spent a year working 3 jobs, which enabled her to put herself through university. She graduated in 2014 with a bachelor's degree in Recreation Management and Community Development. Her radiant beauty inside and out made her a natural when dealing with people. She found great success in the hospitality industry, social media marketing and event management. She was a passionate soul. Her love for her family and friends was very evident. She made all of us feel loved and cherished. She especially loved her munchkins John and Juliette, as well as her goddaughters Emma and Blair. She loved her music, yoga, spending time with friends, reading, festivals and traveling. She was able to travel to many places but Banff, Maui and Chicago really resonated with her. Cassie was a bright shining star, too bright for this earth. Her light and love will not fade. It will shine down on all of us every day. We will hold her in our heart, always and forever. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 27, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Temple, 440 Hargrave Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Parking is available behind the Church, and in parking lot located at Notre Dame Avenue and Hargrave Street. I often think about the radiant light that Cassie was in my life. I only knew her for a few short years but it felt like I knew her a lifetime. I can only imagine where we would be today and the places we would’ve seen together if Cass was still here. us. My favourite memory of her was in Maui. Cassie was obsessed with pineapples (even before they became mainstream) so we made a trip to the supermarket one of the first days we were there. Pick up some wine, snacks and head to our temporary home on the island. On our way we pass by a pineapple bush! We suddenly smelled pineapple and were shocked that this place even smells like pineapples. Oh it’s heaven we said. Later to our discovery the pineapple wine we bought had broken in the trunk of the car. It was such a funny plot twist and I will always cherish those memories. My condolences to the family. As the years go on it doesn’t get any easier.. Much love. - Posted by: Randi (Friend) on: Jan 04, 2021
