MARY ADELE DOLORES RAPINCHUK (nee PROULX) January 23, 1956 - September 26, 2016 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother, grandmother and sister on September 26, 2016 at Victoria General Hospital. She left us peacefully surrounded by the love of her family. Dolores fought a long, hard and courageous battle against her illness, with great dignity and strength. She was a loving, thoughtful and caring soul who will remain in our hearts always. Dolly, as she was known by her friends at Investors Group and international friends she met through the Internet game Pogo, cared deeply for her family and friends and left us with many happy memories. Dolores will be greatly missed by her loving and devoted family: husband Garry Rapinchuk; daughters, Corrie Proulx and Sammy Rapinchuk (fiancée Devon); granddaughter Reimi and dog, Cody. Left to cherish her memory are her brothers, Peter Proulx (Lyn), Bob Proulx (Jan), Lester Proulx (Yvonne Talbot); and sisters, Linda Martin (Phil), Leona Fonseca (Steve), Maureen Christie (Courtney); as well as many nieces and nephews. Dolores was blessed with the love and support of her lifelong friends Dorothy, Freda, Liz and Linda Proulx. She was predeceased by her Dad and Mom, Alexandre and Irene Proulx; sister Angelina Proulx-Reimer and niece Sheila Proulx. In keeping with Dolores' wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 30, 2016, with reception to follow, at E.J. Coutu Funeral home, 680 Archibald St. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association (http://www.diabetes.ca/). Flowers may be sent to E.J. Coutu Funeral home.
