EVA ISABEL HULME (nee FAWCETT) February 7, 1933 - October 3, 2016 With great sadness we announce the passing of Eva Hulme at the Selkirk General Hospital, at the age of 83 years. Eva, wife to Bob; mother to Marylin (Eric) Allan and Penny Hulme; grandmother to Nicole (Derek) Boonstra and Greg (Catarina) Allan; great-grandmother to Whitney Boonstra and Eloise Allan; sister to Margaret (William) Veldkamp, Lillian (Al) Groening and Lloyd (Susan) Fawcett. Eva was predeceased by her parents Verna and Albert; sister Sandra (Lawrence) Crowe and brother-in-law Gordon Streick. Eva spent her youth in the Rosendale/MacGregor area, later moving to Winnipeg and then Libau. She was an extremely hard working woman and was blessed with a green thumb and a love for animals especially dogs. She always had a devoted canine at her side even during these years of retirement. She took a great deal of pride in the accomplishments of her grandchildren and was particularly proud to be a great-grandmother. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St, Selkirk, MB., with reception to follow in the Gilbart Reception Center. Interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers please consider donating to the Humane Society or CancerCare Manitoba or a local charity of one's choice. A special thank you to the staff at the Selkirk General for their kindness and support during this difficult time. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements. www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

  • My condolences to Eva's family at this sad time. I worked with Eva in the Physicians Business Office at the HSC for years. I have very fond memories of Eva. She was a great work buddy. - Posted by: Yvonne Sawatzky (Friend) on: Oct 06, 2016
