George is survived by the love of his life Sharon; children Gary, Deb (John) McCreanor, Joanne (Brian) Davies; grandchildren Krystal (Tom) Dales, Jacqueline and Michael McCreanor, Shaun and Kristianne and Melissa Davies; great-grandchild Isla; brothers Dennis (Doreen) and Allan (Lona), sister Marlene (Harvey) Endler, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Alida and his brother Jack. George grew up in St. Vital and still met schoolmates for breakfast regularly. He moved to Charleswood in 1979. All through his work life George was always "behind the wheel" delivering milk for Modern Dairies, chauffeur for "R J Speers", Transport driver for Midland Superior Trucking, White Trucks, Border Chemical, CBF Trucking or after retirement his favourite job, driving a school bus. He loved to share the funny stories of the kids and tried his best not to let any curse words slip. George will always be remembered for his awesome sense of humour. Whether it was family dinners, weekends at the Oak Bay cabin or a get-together with neighbours and friends he was always the life of the party. He always had a joke or a story to keep us laughing. Nothing was off limits to Papa. Things will never be the same and you are forever in our hearts. Cremation has taken place there will be a private family gathering at a later date. I worked with George many years ago at was then called White Truck Sales. I also worked with Sharon there too & we sat right beside one another. It's such a small world as I also worked with George's dear granddaughter Jacqueline at MTS. I will remember George as being so kind, handsome, funny & patient! Patient as we used George's office as our coffee & lunch room. To his family you are all in my thoughts & prayers & was so very sorry to read of this kind man's passing. Rest in peace dear George. xxg - Posted by: Gayle Hassett (Agar) (Former co-worker) on: Oct 10, 2016

I worked with George years ago at Border Chemical. I will always remember his infectious laugh and how cheerful he was. I'm sure that's how most will remember him. - Posted by: Laurie Tosh (Former co-worker) on: Oct 08, 2016
