TRENT ANDREW MILAN June 4, 1974 October 3, 2016 Tragically, on Monday, October 3, 2016, Trent was taken far too soon from all who knew and loved him; and if you truly knew him...chances are very good you loved him. Trent will be sorely missed by his loving wife, Christie; his parents, Tom and Kay Milan; his Uncle Ted and Aunt Veronika Melanchuk; cousins, Trevor Melanchuk (Cathy) and Tom Melanchuk (Agnes); his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Wes and Linda Pauls; sister-in-law Brandy Ferenc (Christopher Legault); nephew Jackson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Despite being an only child, many considered Trent a brother. Countless close and dear friends will also miss Trent forever more. A celebration of Trent's life will be held at Holy Family Church, 778 Archibald St., on Tuesday, October 11, at 11:00 a.m. followed by a reception. Memorial donations in memory of Trent may be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society or the MS Society of Canada. We love you Trent. E.J. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 204-253-5086

  • There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about you Trent. You were the best friend someone could have. We all miss you so much. Till we meet again - cheers! - Posted by: Jeff (Friend) on: Dec 24, 2017

  • Dear Kay, Tom and Christie: I received the sad news of Trent's passing just over a week ago. Please accept my deepest condolences and know that my family and I have you in our daily thoughts and prayers. Trent was my son Chris' very special childhood friend, and they spent a lot of time playing and having carefree adventures for days on end. Trent certainly made Chris' Winnipeg holidays a lot of fun. As her four grandchildren lived in BC, Trent quickly became the fifth grandkid whenever my Mom baked her special sweet bread and soda biscuits. In turn, Trent and his parents were always kind and attentive neighbours to my folks through the years. RIP, Trent! • Our thoughts are with you Tom and Kaye. We are so sorry for your loss. My dad and I were reminiscing about our get togethers in Winnipeg. Though it was many years ago, we remember Trent fondly as a gentle, quiet and lovely boy. I'm sure you were very proud of him, and we are very saddened to hear he is gone. - Posted by: Shelley La Berge and Karl Auerbach (cousins) on: Oct 10, 2016

  • I am lucky to have known Trent and Christie for 20+ years and shared many memorable times together. It was so easy to laugh and be close with both of them. Even after moving away, we travelled together and visited over the years. Each time I was sure to have a greeting that only Trent can give. I'm glad to have had a recent visit this summer, but heartbroken to know that would be the last - with no final farewell. I will forever miss the Trent I have always known. Wish I could be there to say farewell in person. Love for Christie and both families and our friends at this hard time and always. • Trent...I met you through work quite some time ago. Friendship developed...you and your wife always had a place for me...an ear to listen to. I'm completely gutted. I can't express how much sorrow I feel. Rest easy. - Posted by: Michelle Chretien (Co worker. Friend. ) on: Oct 09, 2016

  • Roman & I lived a few doors down from Trent & Christie in Oakbank about 4 years ago prior to moving out West. We thought Trent was a great person & he was always quick to help out with yard projects or an extra pair of hands. He was a great neighbor! Our thoughts & prayers are certainly with Christie & Trent's family. Our sincerest condolences. - Posted by: Nicole & Roman Benes (Neighbor ) on: Oct 09, 2016

  • I spent a summer working with Trent over 20 years ago and it was one of my most memorable summers of my life. I still remember that summer fondly to this day. It saddens me to hear of his passing and I wish I had kept in touch more. My heart goes out to his family. To the count, Milan Milan - Posted by: Bob (Friend) on: Oct 08, 2016

  • Although we did not know Trent the story is such a sad one. Our thoughts are with the family and friends. May he find peace - Posted by: susanna () on: Oct 08, 2016

  • Kay and Tom: My heart goes out to you at this extremely difficult time. Knowing Trent since he was a baby, although - as life has a habit of doing - his path led him in a different direction from mine, I always knew of his accomplishments and his willingness to help anyone who was in need as you and I remained close friends and conversed often about our sons. Trent was special and I couldn't have cared for him more if he had been my own son. I will always treasure the play times that Trent shared with my Matthew even though there is a four year age difference. Trent never saw that as an issue and always treated Matt as an equal. I cannot find suitable words to express the loss that Trent's untimely passing brings to you and the rest of his family. Anything I come up with just seems hollow and inadequate. So I will just offer my sincerest condolences and deep heart-felt sympathy to you both as well as Trent's wife and extended family. A young man has been taken from this earth far too soon and leaves a void that nothing nor no one can ever fill. Please know that I am here for you at any time, all the time. Lovingly, Pat Murdock - Posted by: Pat Murdock (long time family friend) on: Oct 08, 2016
