I have many fond memories that span 30 years, We shared so many experiences as kids, Camping all over Manitoba & Ontario, Riding with our gang of friends to Grand Beach and staying at Ryan Carr's cabin for the weekend. He sure loved his Motorcycle. The list is endless. He was so excited when Sabrina was born, he even bought her first Dress, he was a very loving gentle Uncle to her. Yvan spent a great deal of time with Colin & I. He was a very dear friend to us both. He remained close to us both even though we separated. Of all those wonderful, sometimes crazy things we did, nothing brought more joy to him then the Love of his life, my best friend Suzie. Life was never easy, but together they got thru they best they could relying simply on their Love for each other for 25 years. Words simply cannot express my heartbreak at his loss, Far too Young were you Yvan, May you Soar in Eternity on the Wings of an Angel. My sincerest condolences to Gracia, Annette, Nola, Louise and extended Family. Rest in Peace my Friend - Posted by: Caroline (Remillard) Dufault (Friend) on: Oct 19, 2016

Yvan was a neighbor of ours on Kitson Street while growing up and I had the honour of seeing him again many years later when he and Suzie came to my house in St. Vital for dinner. He was also kind enough to spend a few days over to put a breaker box in my garage and to set up my house alarm to the garage as a favor to my common-law partner at the time with whom he was a very good to. I ran into both him and Suzie on the bus a few times after that and hadn't seen them again. It saddens me to see how much he deteriorated, aged and how passed away at such a young age. I do however know that he is now at peace and is looking over his family and loved ones. Once again, my most sincere condolences to the family. I knew Ivan when he was a neat kid growing up next to my family in St. Lazare. I bumped in to him again while teaching at École Précieux-Sang. He was in grade seven and a good student. I taught him again in grade twelve and he was an honest, smart fellow who was getting in to mischief. My favorite memory was taking him on a ski trip to Jasper. He was an excellent athlete. I met him a few times after that when he worked as an electrician. He died too young. My sympathies,to his mother, sisters and all his family. - Posted by: Wayne Selby (Friend and cousin) on: Oct 15, 2016
