I was thinking of the Hourd family today and decided to do a search and found this obituary. So sad to hear of Wayne's passing. We have not seen Wayne for several years but our families spent many years of vacations and special holidays together as we grew up. Our parents played cards and we kids pretty well spent our time swimming in the lake. So many fond memories of Wayne, Ken and Sandy, Auntie Barb and Uncle Al. My brother Stuart and I send our condolences to Wayne's family. - Posted by: Kathy Cornell (Cousin by friendship between parents) on: Jan 03, 2017

Wayne a kind, caring, gentle man. I have read the tributes on both sites and they describe Wayne perfectly. I will miss the "Hey Wen how's it going"? Always there to help anyone. Wayne will be missed by our whole family. His family was truly everything to him. Cin, Kaitlin and Kristin you are in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Wendy Mestrovic and our Families (Sister in law) on: Nov 12, 2016

I was saddened to hear of Wayne's passing. My girlfriend in Winnipeg (Kathy Person) ran into Wendy at Sobey's and told Kathy and hense she emailed me. I told my brother and was happy he was able to attend the funeral and pay our joint respects. I have numerous fond memories of Wayne and Cindy from school as well as in the community. I spend many hours on Cindy`s parents stairs watching the boys. Gee, I must have been about l5 years old. I remember my first drive and arrest when driving his studabaker at Red River Community college with Victor and others. The RCMP scolded us and it is now fun to chat about. Wayne family was so great allowing us teenagers to party in their basement. Wayne was always a quiet gentle soul. I also remember he used to drive around during a snow storm and help people get out of the ditch or just give them a push. It`s amazing how these wonderful memories of a man stay with you. May God bless your family and help you heal, Wayne is in good hands now and will be watching over you. Blessing from an old friend on Elgin Avenue.
