RUTH ADELE LASER (nee HELLWIG) On November 16, 2016 Ruth Laser, 90, of Altona, Manitoba passed from this earthly home to be with her Saviour Jesus Christ in heavenly Glory. She is survived by her daughter Ingrid (Karl) Korporal, son-in-law John Macloskie, grandchildren Brynn, Kristine, Kelsey, Kendra, Matthew, Daniel, Bridget and eight great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 63 years, Ed Laser, her daughter Karen, parents Erich and Ida Hellwig and sisters Elizabeth, Margrit and Gerda. A viewing will be held in Altona on Friday, November 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Wiebe Funeral Home. On Saturday, November 26 at the Rowandale Baptist Church, Winnipeg there will be a viewing at 10:00 a.m., funeral service at 11:00 a.m., lunch at 12:00 noon and interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Avenue. Ruth had a lifelong passion for gardening and flowers. Should friends choose to bless the family, donations will be put towards an addition to the Altona Memory Garden in her name.
