KAYLA PATRICIA TOUSIGNANT On Wednesday, November 16, 2016 the heavenly angels came down to guide our beautiful Kayla Patricia Tousignant, at the age of 25, into the arms of Jesus. She will be greeted in Heaven by her Papa Dennis Barrett, aunties, uncles, cousins and close friends. Kayla blessed us with her arrival on March 16, 1991 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She leaves to cherish her memory Kathy and Hailey Tousignant, John Flaherty, Grandma Pat Barrett, Nana and Papa Flaherty, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We are all so very proud of Kayla's accomplishments in life. Kayla was a young, beautiful soul that touched many hearts including feeding the homeless, showing generosity and kindness to all. She was always there for any family or friends in need. Kayla graduated from high school in Carman, MB in June of 2012 and Marvel College in June of 2014. Her greatest passions in life were to make everyone feel special and make those around her laugh. Kayla loved all of God's creations, including her beloved dog Brock. Safely home, I am home in Heaven, dear ones; oh so happy and so bright! There is perfect joy and beauty in this everlasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last, I won't be far away, for life goes on; so if you need me call and I will come. Though you can't see me or touch me I'll be near and if you listen with your heart you'll hear and feel all my love around you soft and clear. -Anonymous Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating Kayla's life will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Mary, Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Drive. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Addictions Foundation of Manitoba or your charity of choice. E.J. COUTU & CO. FUNERAL DIRECTORS 680 Archibald Street 204-253-5086 ejcoutu.com

  • When I met Kayla, it was like a flash of energy. She had secretly brought her dog to the dorms were we worked together, we never spoke before that, however we eventually became friends. She was worried when the dog (Brock) jumped on me. She plead with me not to tell anyone and that she was going to vacuum the hallway, I had no problems with Brock, I love dogs, especially hers. The dog was outed and he left, but our friendship grew. She was always kind to me, I had little to no friends. I was always high strung, but she was soft and kind. She would tell her problems. I would listen and gave her solutions. She would be grateful. We spoke even after she was asked to leaver her work, we talked after I left the province, we talked when I moved back to my home in Toronto. It was always her keeping in touch with me. It always her who thought of me. No human is prefect. She was human. She was my friend, I miss her, I wish I could have told her that much. Rest in peace, Kayla. - Posted by: denyse clara (friend) on: Feb 21, 2017
