Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS J. COPELAND Tom Copeland passed away peacefully, at the age of 93 years young, on November 19, 2016. He was predeceased by his first wife Margaret, daughter Judi, brother Jack and grandson Todd. Left to cherish his memory is his wife Shelly, children Darryl (Brenda McLeod) and Cathie (Gerald) Janzen; son-in-law Dwayne Dahlin; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Tom was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on March 20, 1923. In 1943 he joined the R.C.A.F. He married Margaret Koval before being transferred to England where he used his skills as a welder till the war ended. Tom was employed by CN Railway until he moved the family to California. After a brief sojourn there they moved back to Winnipeg where he was employed with Winnipeg Transit until his retirement in 1988. He met Shelly in 1995 and they enjoyed Tom's remaining years together. Our appreciation to Dr. Finlayson and staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 24, at 2:00 p.m. at 208 Watson Street in the Recreation Room. www.voyagefuneralhome.com

I will remember Tom as a man who always had a smile and loved to meet and chat with strangers who quickly became friends .Tom remained active and enjoyed life to the very end. He fought a long hard battle but never gave up. Tom and Shelly loved , respected and complimented each other through good times and rough times. My sincere condolences to Shelly and all the family.
