RUTH BODNARUS Peacefully on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, Ruth passed away at Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB after a brief illness. Ruth will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband Melvin of 53 years, son Donald (Marlene), daughter Cheryl, grandchildren Bryce and Shannon, sister Aileen, brother Allan (Alayne), in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Ruth was predeceased by her parents Michael and Minnie, brother Lorne, two brothers-in-law, and two sisters-in-law. Ruth was born on November 26, 1937 in Teulon, MB. Ruth attended school in Teulon. After completing high school, Ruth graduated from Manitoba Provincial Normal School in Winnipeg and taught for several years in the Interlake and Winnipeg before raising a family with her husband. Ruth enjoyed many activities including singing, gardening, reading, nature, music, volunteering, and spending precious time with loved ones. Mom and Grandma will be remembered for her caring and kindness. A private family funeral was held at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Pleasant Home, MB on Saturday, November 19, 2016. Thank you to everyone who provided comfort and support during Ruth's brief illness. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
