ZENON WALTER KLOPICK It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Zenon on November 16, 2016 in Winnipeg at the age of 44. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marla, parents Walter and Olga, brother Christian (Miranda), nieces Brianna and Sophie, nephew Nicholas, and his father-in-law Ivan Werbovetski. Also mourning him are his aunts Anastasia Pawlowsky and Anna Gembarsky, Uncle Frank Klopick (Deb), sisters-in-law Leah (Razz), Gail, and Laura (Rob), and nephews and nieces: Gino, Desiree, Kiana, and Jordan; along with cousins in Winnipeg and Vancouver. Zenon was predeceased by his grandparents, Walter and Angela Klopick, and Ivan and Maria Smerechuk; his cousin and godmother Dr. Alexandra Pawlowsky; and his mother-in-law, Florence Werbovetski, with whom he had a special bond. From a young age, Zenon was a high energy person who loved being out with his friends. During his high school years, he spent more time in his bright yellow 1987 Camaro than in a classroom. His love of animals was great, and he had no greater joy than his "two boys" River and Jack. He loved to go to the lake, take the boat out with Jack as lookout, and go fishing. Except one time he forgot to look at the gas gauge and the RCMP had to be called to rescue him as he was stranded somewhere out on the water. Marla, the love of Zenon's life, will miss him dearly. Marla and Zenon were and will always be soul mates. Their house was always filled with love, laughter, family, and friends. It provided great comfort in their lives. They shared a love of music, classic movies, and a unique sense of humour. Zenon and Marla loved vacationing in Mexico and at sister Gail's house in Phoenix. Their love of animals, dogs especially, was voiced often. In their minds, Jack and River were their children. Zenon took great pleasure enjoying a backyard bonfire with his close friends. Zenon, his brother Christian, and father Walter co-managed the family business, Tenderloin Meat & Sausage. He was the front of house person with his winning smile and joking ways, always ready to dispense cooking advice and recommend the perfect cut of meat. The Funeral Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 737 Bannerman Ave., on Tuesday, November 29 at 12:00 noon, with a Basilian father officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Winnipeg Humane Society would be appreciated. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 204-956-2193 www.korbanchapel.com
