ARTHUR W. REMUS Peacefully on Tuesday, November 29, 2016, at the Emerson Personal Care Home, Arthur W. Remus passed away at the age of 94. Left to cherish his memory is his son Barry and wife Terry of Duncan, BC; and grandchildren Colleen Remus-Bodle (Richard) of New Plymouth, New Zealand, and Michelle (Aaron) Parrotta of Duncan, BC. Art was predeceased by his loving wife Ann (Schultz), and son Rodney. Art was born on July 2, 1922 at Emerson, MB. He was raised on a farm along the Red River at Emerson. Art and Ann were married and enjoyed 54 years of marriage. Art's main interests were his family. He farmed from a young age until he and Ann moved into Emerson. He then went to work as a custodian at Emerson Customs until his retirement. Art was very proud of his granddaughters and spent a great deal of time with them. His favourite hobbies were gardening, watching and feeding the birds. He enjoyed visiting with friends and family or playing a hand of cards. A service to celebrate Art's life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Emerson, MB, with Pastor Leslie Poulin officiating. Interment will follow at a later date. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Emerson Personal Care Home who provided Art with great care for many years.
