Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBENEDETTA MURGOLO A beloved mother and loving wife, Benedetta Murgolo, passed away December 10, 2016 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 78. Benedetta was born in Toritto, Bari (Italy) to Antonia and Michele Servedio on December 16, 1937. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Tonino and Pietro. She is survived by her five children Filomena, Antonia, Francesco, Michelina and Rosanna; brothers, Matteo, Francesco, Vito and Pasquale; sisters Anna and Antonia and their extended families. Benedetta was also a doting grandmother to her seven grandchildren, Giacomo, Giuseppe, Danica (fiancé Kevin), Marko, Nicla, Sofia and Rocco, whom she all loved dearly. She will also be missed by son-in-laws, Nicola Rago, Miro Gospic and daughter-in-law, Melissa Murgolo. In 1971, she immigrated to Canada with her husband, Giuseppe, and her five children. She was a consummate homemaker and good cook who enjoyed making dinner for her family and friends. She was very diligent and took pride at her job at the Health Sciences Centre for over 15 years. But her family always remained her main priority. Benedetta was a strong woman who showed immeasurable strength until the end. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, with Rev. Father. Sam Argenziano, celebrant. Viewing will be held prior to mass at 10:00 a.m. Entombment in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB.
