JEAN COOTE CUNNINGHAM Our sweet little Jeannie died on Friday, December 16, 2016. Born March 30, 1926, Jean was a fiercely stubborn Cunningham right from the start. Antibiotics had not yet been developed when she fought and survived a life threatening illness at age three. Jeannie lived a long, loving life with her family and many friends. One of Jean's passions in life was painting, and she spent many wonderful hours over the years at The Forum Art Institute. Her style was described as "eclectic" and appreciated by those who bought her paintings. Some of her works hang in our homes, an uplifting reminder of Jean. Jean was predeceased by her parents Vi and Bill; brother Bruce and his children, Wendy and Christopher; and sister Margo McVey. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Bob and Puddy Cunningham and her nieces and nephews Robin Toni, Jane Howe, Ward McVey, Scott Cunningham, Don Cunningham, Andrew Cunningham, Heather Challmie and their spouses and families. We would like to extend our grateful thanks to the wonderful staff at Extendicare Tuxedo Villa for their many years of sweet care of Jean, especially to Rosemarie and Lana. Cremation has taken place, and a private family memorial will be held. Please, no flowers.
