HENRY JULIAN SMITH
Date of Passing: Dec 15, 2016
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHENRY JULIAN SMITH The family of Henry Julian Smith is sad to announce his passing from his life on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Deer Lodge Centre, Winnipeg, MB. He is survived by his children Beverly, Brenda (Tom), Holly and Alexander, along with 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Irene, and grandsons Josiah and Israel. Dad was a talented man, working in a variety of disciplines, was always eager to embrace new concepts. The internet provided hours of challenges; he learned to download music from his youth, burn CDs and share them with family. He was a creative cook, a tailor and his most recent adventure was discovering the latent artist; who knew he could paint! We will miss his sense of humour and outrageous laugh. We would like to acknowledge and thank the wonderful, caring staff on Tower 6 at Deer Lodge Centre. You all made Dad's last years easier and brought him joy. The support for our family has been outstanding; we could not have managed this journey without you. Dad's wish was to be with his wife Irene at MacCoon Cemetery in Estevan, SK. This will be done in the spring of 2017. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the Deer Lodge Foundation, 2109 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3J 0L3. www.voyagefuneralhome.com
