Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJUSTUS ANTHONY JOSEPH PELLAND December 28, 1994 - December 28, 2016 It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our son, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend. In the early hours of December 28, 2016, Justus lost his battle to a disease he fought valiantly for many years. Justus was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to April Pelland and Rene Rousseau. He leaves behind his parents, grandparents, his two siblings Chaz Hodgson and Devaney Pelland (the light of his life), numerous aunts, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandfather Roger Pelland. Justus attended Ecole Provence, Louis Riel and was a graduate of Churchill High School. He went on to study Civil Engineering at Red River College. He was active in many sports, including Mustangs football, Bulldogs football and hockey. He was a provincial Judo champ and enjoyed numerous other sports growing up. He was also an avid golfer and enjoyed snowboarding. He touched hearts and lives wherever his adventures took him, most recently in Kelowna where we were pleased to see he was surrounded by loving friends. He was a devoted Christian and his faith brought him comfort. His smile could light up a room. He would do anything for a friend or family member in need. His greatest joy in life came from his baby sister. We will keep his memory alive forever. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Highway. I just heard about his passing today. I had known Justus for some time. When he moved he still called me frequently with updates. I have kept his thank you card that he gave to me a few years ago. He included his high school graduation picture. He loved his little sister so much, and talked very highly of her in every conversation. He was smart and compassionate. Though its been awhile since I've seen Justus and its been a while since I moved out, I still remember Hanging out with Justus and Chaz and having wrestling matches in the living room when me and Chaz would team up on.
