MARGARET JOAN GOODRIDGE With sorrow, we announce the death of Margaret Goodridge in the Grace Hospital on January 4, 2017, just weeks from her 93rd birthday. Margaret is survived by her brother, Gord Petersen (Paulie); her sons, Douglas (Florance), Gerry (Mary-Ellen Foris), Ken (Laureen) and Jim (Donna); her daughter-in-law, Pennie Styan; grandchildren, Cheryl, Dawn, Darlene, Rae, Neil, and Kate; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Norman Goodridge, parents, August and Ella Petersen, and siblings, Lilly Petersen, Evelyn Petersen, Paul Petersen (Kathrine), Gerda Bouchard (Joe), Vic Petersen, Anne Winmill (Art), and Lilly Thompson (Bob). Margaret was born January 27, 1924 in Komarno, Manitoba, and lived most of her early life in St. James and Fort Whyte, Manitoba, moving to Fort Garry in 1959. She worked for Canada Packers before her marriage and Greater Winnipeg Gas Company/Centra Gas until retirement. Margaret was loving, loyal, and always fun. She was truly loved by her children, grandchildren, and all who knew her. Those closest to her will miss her love and encouragement. A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2017 in the common-room at 100 Adamar Road (Delta Manor). All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, donations to Siloam Mission or the Winnipeg Humane Society would be appreciated.
