GLEN DAVIS SMITH 1956 2017 It is with heavy hearts the family announces the sudden passing of Glen Smith, at home, on Monday, January 16, 2017. Glen is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Linda (nee Bell); his mother Pearl; twin sister Glenda (Donald) Dragan; brother Gordon (Rae-Ann); nieces, Kiera, Robyn and Kimberly; nephews, Andrew, Graeme and Stephen. Glen was predeceased by his father Edward in 2007. Glen was born in Toronto and grew up in Birds Hill, MB, where he attended River East High School. Glen and Linda were married on May 21, 1983 and Glen worked as a heavy duty mechanic for Budget Truck, Husky Service Station on Plessis and the Co-op on Jarvis. He was a kind, quiet and respectful person, who was happiest at home taking pride in looking after his house and yard. Glen and Linda enjoyed spending time together and with their friends. Glen will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Glen's life will be held on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Glen's memory to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB, R3T 0R3. E.J. COUTU & CO.
