Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTEFANIE PANAGIOTOU It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of our deeply loved wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, Stefanie Panagiotou (nee Mihalakis), on January 15, 2017. Stefanie was born on May 8, 1942 in the village of Agalianou on Crete Island in Greece. She was predeceased by her father Alexandros and mother Vasiliki Mihalakis. She is survived by and will be profoundly missed by her husband of 49 years, Loukas Panagiotou, who she dearly loved and married in September 1967; her four daughters, Debbie (Garry) Hirsch, Vicki, Haroula (Pete), and Aleca (Tony); sisters Eugenia Vlahakis and Cleopatra Vassalou from Greece; brother Aleco Mihalakis also in Greece; grandchildren Loukas, Stefano, Lexie, Mia, Manoli, Maddex, Dante, Alexander, Cara, Delta along with numerous nieces and nephews. In 1967, Stefanie bravely immigrated to Canada where she married Loukas and then settled in Thompson, Manitoba, where they started their wonderful family. In 1975, Stefanie and her family moved to Winnipeg, Manitoba, where they always maintained a strong connection to the Greek community. She always loved to have fun; any reason was a good reason to get together with family and friends. Stefanie always had a deep passion for cooking which she enjoyed her whole life. This passion shined in her very successful restaurant business (4 Sisters Restaurant) for over 20 years until she and Loukas sold the restaurant and retired in 2004. Her family shared her passion in Stefanie's cooking as YiaYia's house was the place to go for the most delicious food and desserts. Stefanie's legacy as an incredible wife, mother, grandmother (YiaYia), sister, aunt and friend will survive and her deep dedication to her family and their happiness will continue for generations. www.voyagefuneralhome.com
