LEONARD IRVING WARREN It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our son, brother, uncle, husband, father and grandfather Leonard. He is predeceased by his father George. He leaves behind his mother Elizabeth; sister Gail (Vance); brother Mark (Donna); devoted wife Zenaida (nee Pamintuan); sons, Peter, David (Julie) and Layton (Melinda); daughter Judith; six grandchildren, Melody, Holly, Adam, Ryan, Alyssa and Braden along with many nieces and nephews. Leonard worked hard all his life. He worked at Wholesale Heating, CN Symington Yard, Winnipeg Stock and then at 7-11 until he retired. He will be deeply missed by his extended Pamintuan family and friends that he has made throughout the years. A service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, January 27 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Ave., at Henderson Hwy. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the charity of your choice.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I remember that when I was in Elementary school we had a special day where all the grandparents could come and play in our gym and attend our classes. We all got the chance to share a special story we had with our grandparent. I called him slurpee grandpa as well as my sister calling him that. After school my mother would take us to see him at work at 7-11 and he would pay for our slurpees. Those memories will always stay in my heart and stick out. - Posted by: Holly Pendree (Granddaughter) on: Nov 10, 2018

  • So sorry to hear of Leonards untimely passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to Leonards entire family. I met Leonard in grade 4, where we both attended Prince Edward school in East Kildonan. We were close friends for over 10 years, travelling to the YMCA on Vaughn Street every Saturday night on the bus for swimming lessons. Also travelled together in Leonards old 1958 Volkswagon to attend classes at MIT. Double dated several times, and considered him my best friend at the time. Eventually we lost contact with one another, but I will always remember him as a great friend and a fine person.
