GUY WARREN HOBMAN On the morning of February 25, 2017, we sadly said a final farewell to Guy as his life journey ended in the serenity of his home after a hard fought struggle and steady decline with PSP. He travelled quietly through life with a strong sense of self, a tireless work ethic and enjoyed going to work every day. For over 50 years Guy enjoyed a successful development and Real Estate career. He was founder and President of the Greentree Group of Companies which he established in the early 70s. Guy dedicated many years to the MHBA; as President for two terms, 1980/81 and again in 1996/97. He chaired and sat on numerous committees most other years. As well, he devoted many more years serving on the board of the Winnipeg Housing and Rehabilitation Corporation. Our heartfelt gratitude and thank you is extended for the exceptional care, devotion and affection provided to Guy by the caregivers at Home Instead and especially to the Palliative Care Team. We could not have done this without you. We cannot thank you enough for all your support and compassionate care. No service will be held. Should you wish to remember and honour Guy, donations may be made to CurePSP, 30 E Padonia Road, Ste. 201, Timonium, MD 21093; or the Winnipeg Humane Society. E.J. COUTU & CO. Guy had a way of making a point. One day, while I was working away and singing quietly to myself...Guy called me into the boardroom. He closed the door. In a sweet and kind way he told me ..."could you imagine if everyone sang in the office...at the same time?" Then he smiled quietly. I got it. I was a terrible singer...and he did not care for the noise. I cherish the friendship and fatherly direction Mr. H gave me whenever we went for lunch together. I think of him and Mrs. H often. I love them both alot. Sleep well Mr. H. You ARE a Champion. Oh that I could have the dignity and goodness you showed especially under the terrible strain of sickness.
