  • Our deepest condolences to the Du Family. We have some wonderful memories and Marvelle has many working with him on many committees. Enjoy your memories as we are sure you will have many. - Posted by: Barrie & Marvelle McPHerson (Friend) on: Mar 26, 2017

  • To Jeannine and Family: How well I remember campaign headquarters and repacking many thousands of fortune cookies into smaller bags. Although we didn't see each other often after that, whenever we did, the warmth Joe and all of your family members showed to me was always welcomed. Jeannine, I also remember you backing citrus flavoured cakes for Chinese New Year celebrations at the restaurant. Please accept my sincere condolences. • My deepest condolences to Dr. Joe Du's family. Joe was a great campaigner in the interest of the Chinese Canadian community. I knew him through our work in winning Parliamentary apology for the victims of the infamous Head Tax and Chinese Exclusion Act. He worked tirelessly with the Redress Alliance for justice. Our community needs more activists like him. Joe will be missed by all. - Posted by: William Ging Wee Dere (Friend and colleague) on: Mar 23, 2017

  • The most wonderful Doctor of my children. He was a caring gentle man, and when he checked the children he would always ask how's mom doing and would give a check of the hands and eyes, and always took time to answer question. Condolences to his family. - Posted by: Alfreda () on: Mar 22, 2017
