It is with sadness yet sweet memories that I read the passing of your mother. So many years have gone by since our families have seen each other, yet those occasions come to mind. The friendships our parents had was always there even if they didn't see each other. The stories that they told of immigrating to Canada after the war and what happened over there are things that are told in novels and history books. I had the privilege of talking with her about 10 years ago when her health was better. I will cherish that. Mom is still alive at 96, but Dad passed away 2 years ago. This is the last of that generation. Hopefully, if there is another side, your mom and dad and mine and their old cronies are sitting around the dinner table having a "kalishok of horilka" and toasting "Dai Boze! My deepest sympathies. As a volunteer helper with the Friday bingo on Rosa's floor, I know there were times she really enjoyed participating. A lovely lady. She will be missed. - Posted by: Debra Winterburn (Holy Family Volunteer) on: Apr 15, 2017
