YVAN (IVAN) DESJARDINS February, 15 1941 - April 6, 2017 It is with fond and loving memories that we sadly announce the passing of Yvan, at Seven Oaks Hospital with family by his side, after a courageous battle with cancer. Yvan is survived by his loving partner of 31 years, Barbara Klos; as well as his four children, Nicole, Eric, Guy, Nancy and their partners. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother Richard (Diane); sister Guyane (Donald); sister-in-law Pierrette, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Yvan was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Henriette; his daughter Josee; his brother Raymond; sisters, Marie-Paule and Rita as well as Rita's husband Maurice. Yvan loved life and laughter. He had a kind and soft heart. His greatest joys were family, music and blueberry cheesecake. His favorite pastimes were playing his guitar and singing his self-composed songs. He also enjoyed playing, singing and listening to country music. Special thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital for the compassion and care they showed Yvan in his final days. Cremation has taken place and in accordance with Yvan's wishes, no formal service will be held.
