TREVOR ROY BRACKSTON
Born: Nov 28, 1951
Date of Passing: Apr 09, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTREVOR ROY BRACKSTON Peacefully, Trevor passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. Trevor was born on November 28, 1951 in Storrington, England to parents Rosie May and Patrick. At age six, the family of four, including big brother Michael, immigrated to Canada, settling in Winnipeg. Trevor attended schools in Brooklands where he would meet Anita, who would become his wife of 42 years. He spent 40 years with the Provincial government, eventually retiring from the Motor Carrier Division on March 17 of this year. His loves included cats (he and Anita had seven over the years), everything cars, golf, watching wrestling (a passion cultivated from a childhood filled with memories watching with family), and extreme sports. Trevor realized a lifelong dream two years ago when he acquired his beloved Cobra kit car. He proudly cruised around the city and would stop and share stories of the car and its many features to all those who inquired along the way. It brought him much joy, as did his love of travel, Puerto Vallarta his favourite destination. Cruising the Caribbean was his ultimate travel pick. He is survived by his wife Anita; brother Michael; and sister-in-law Carol (Steven and Kevin); and countless family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, it would be Trevor's wish to make donations to D'Arcy's Arc. This is just the type of man that Trevor was and how he will be remembered so dearly. Humble gratitude to the staff at Concordia 3W.

My condelenses to you, Anita, on the passing of your Trevor. I had over 11 wonderful years of working & traveling with him besides having him as a golfing partner. Besides having a passion for cars and stock cars (owning and racing them with his brother), he also was involved with a band, again with his brother. He got his band to play at our Christmas party one year. He also great hand/eye coordination in pool and golf. He could clean table in pool and his iron play in golf was something I wished I could have. He was close to a scratch golfer when playing regularly. He was a very competitive, serious player. You get to know a person when you go on road trips with a person and I was fortunate that he went on many with me. Don't get me wrong I didn't need the supervision but Trevor just wanted to go out again and get a feel for an audit as he missed doing them when he became my manager of audits. I only didn't like one road trip in which I went in his car, his smaller Prelude. I had so much problem squeezing myself in and trying to pull my self out. I preferred roomy vans. Trevor strived to set a high standard at work for our audit team and looking back, we achieved a lot of high points over those years. He was an excellent at report writing and breifing notes. I last met Trevor last fall and hoped I would return in time this spring for his retirement, not this going away. Trevor, I am sorry, you did not enjoy your retirement years. I will always have fond memories of the times we worked and spent together. - Posted by: colin dederick (co-worker and my boss) on: Apr 16, 2017
