Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARRY ARNOLD FRASER The family wish to announce the peaceful passing of Barry Fraser on May 5, 2017, after a brief illness in the Rock Lake Hospital in Crystal City. Barry was born December 16, 1935 in to Blanche (Alexander) and Byron (Bun) Fraser. He married Sharon Lynn Laidler on June 28, 1955, in Winnipeg. Barry is survived by his four children, Bud (Marielle), Michael (Philomena), Jeffrey (Leanne), Patty (Dave), and his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Barry is also survived by his brothers Roger, Glen and sister Judith. Barry was predeceased by his wife Sharon and sister Lois. Barry had short stints of employment at Wnpg. Salisbury House, Brandon Mental Hospital, and Northern mining camps but his career started at TCA (later to become Air Canada) working the ramp in 1955 and finishing in senior management in 1989 with them. Barry sang in many musicals in high school and loved music of all kinds with the exception of Country Western. He enjoyed golfing, curling and the occasional fishing trip. Barry and Sharon enjoyed travelling the globe for many years. They lived in Winnipeg, Brandon, Milton Ont., Montreal and finally settling in Pilot Mound in their dream home on Anderson Street. They enjoyed the small town atmosphere and quiet way of life. Barry was an avid gardener including his over 200 pink petunia plants for his deck boxes. The family would like to thank Dr. Khoury and all the staff at Rock Lake Hospital for their excellent care of and compassion for their Dad during his hospitalization.
