ANNE HUSIAK
Born: Dec 09, 1916
Date of Passing: May 05, 2017
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE HUSIAK (nee TROSCHUK) December 9, 1916 - May 5, 2017 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Mother, Anne. She leaves to mourn two daughters, Judy; and Margaret (Lib); grandsons, Trevor and Chris (Linda), and great-grandson, Milo. Mom is also survived by siblings, Dorothy (Tony), John (Vi), and Sonya; and sisters-in-law, Schultzy and Stella; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Roy in 1966, and her siblings, Walter, Pete, Mike, Bill, and Mary. Mom lived a quiet, simple life. She was a self-taught seamstress, who enjoyed flower gardening (especially begonias), doing beautiful needlepoint and decorating her house at Christmas (which her neighbours all enjoyed). We were pleasantly surprised by how much traveling our mother had actually done- Alberta, Hawaii, London, Kiev, Memphis, Vegas, Florida, Disneyland, the Maritimes and even the Dauphin Ukrainian Festival with her grandsons. She loved cats and her special friend, "Pumpkin", gave her much joy in her latter years. Many heartfelt thanks to those who visited Mom in her care home after she had to move from the home she had lived in for 65 years. Cremation has taken place and there will be no service at this time. Flowers are gratefully declined. However, donations may be made to D'Arcy's A.R.C. Animal Rescue Centre, 730-B Century St. in Winnipeg. VICHNAYA PAMYAT!
