ANTONIO FUNARI June 10, 1932 - May 23, 2017 It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Antonio on May 23, 2017, after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his loving wife Francesca, of 59 years, daughter Teresina, son Mario, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, and also their respective spouses. He was born in Malito, Italy and came to Canada in 1966 with his wife and two children. He spent most of his career at Regal Bedding, where he retired at the age of 61. He enjoyed spending time at the cabin at Winnipeg Beach, as well as gardening. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, and also Maples Care Home for their care and compassion for the short time he was there. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Condolences will be offered at 10:00 a.m., followed by Entombment at Holy Angel Mausoleum, Hwy. #1 East at Navin Road, Winnipeg, MB.
