DOUGLAS LAWRENCE LINDSAY It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Douglas Lawrence Lindsay, aged 68 years of Sandy Hook, MB, formerly of Winnipeg, MB, on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Riverview Health Centre. After a courageous fight against cancer, he passed peacefully, with his family and friends by his side. Doug was predeceased by his wife Lucie. Left to mourn him are his sons Mike (Darlene) and Jason (Shaun); daughter Susan (Greg); and grandchildren Janelle, Justin, Ryan and Aidan. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. We would like to thank the staff at the Riverview Health Centre for making his time there so much more comfortable. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, 309 Eveline St., Selkirk, MB. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to CancerCare Manitoba. Condolences may be left at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.

Doug was a great teacher that helped me get the great job I still have today. I will always remember him for his strict attention to detail yet can't help but still see him smiling and sharing stories. Sorry to hear about his passing.
