RAYMOND MAURICE ROLAND GOBEIL (BLONDIE) March 14, 1945 - May 27, 2017 On May 27, 2017, Raymond was freed of his suffering to enter into eternal rest and peace with his sister and beloved nurses at his bedside. He was predeceased by his parents, Gérard and Ernestine, brothers, Jacques and Aurèle, sister Rachelle, and brothers-in-law, Kenneth Lavallée, Murray Roberts and Jacques Lavoie. He leaves to mourn his passing brothers, Gérald (Annette) and Fernand (Lise), sisters, Alice, Monique and Lise (Omer Curé) and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews whom he adored. Raised in Otterburne, Raymond worked as a labourer most of his life. When his health began to fail, he enjoyed daily visits at local establishments for coffee, a drink or a meal with other patrons. He volunteered in community events and helped others in need, sometimes to his disadvantage. A sincere thank you to the medical and nursing staff of DeSalaberry District Health Centre and Southern Heath Home Care Program for their compassion and dedication to his care. In keeping with Raymond's wishes, cremation has taken place and a funeral mass celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with eulogy commencing at 10:15 a.m. in Saint-Pierre-Jolys Catholic Church with Father Patrice Kasonga officiating.
