WARD BUTCHER With great sadness I announce the peaceful end of my big brother, Ward Butcher's journey on March 30, 2017 in Stratford, ON. Ward was predeceased by his mother Dianne, Gram Peg Staveley, and 'brother from another mother' Brian Bolton. Left to mourn Ward's passing are his son Harlan (mother Janna Butcher [nee Dewildt]), father Don Butcher (Irene Corrigal), sister Joanne Gordon and husband Rob, nephews Devon and Reilly Gordon, Rich Nelson (Chelsea, Damian and Ryder, Jazmyn), Aunt Norry Evans (Kelvin Palmer), Aunt Bev Butcher, as well as his wife Rae Butcher (nee Redekop), many cousins and numerous friends. Ward was a longtime member of the Manitoba Motorcycle Club and Winnipeg Harley Riders Association. He biked across Western Canada and the US, having to buy a truck to bring it home a few times. I would like to thank Pastor Wayne and Sabrina McQueen of London for befriending Ward and easing his burden, as well as old friends Tim and Linda Pope and Diantha Miller for keeping in touch and lighting up his final days. To honour Ward's last wishes, a 'wake' will be held at the Marion Hotel, June 22 starting at 3:00 p.m. Please bring photos and stories to share while we raise a toast to the end of Ward's adventure, followed by his last ride. E.J. Coutu in charge of arrangements.
