Giesbrecht, beloved husband, father and grandfather, reached his heavenly home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017, unexpectedly, at the age of 80 at his residence. He leaves to mourn his wife Tina (nee Fehr), his children, Mel (Jeri-Anne), Garrett, Reid, Adria; Monica (Benjamin), Breanna, Brendan, Breion; Marlene (Lee Michael); Mark (Nicole), Brittany, and Raymond. He was predeceased by his father Reverend Martin M. Giesbrecht and mother Nettie (Harder), second mother Tina (Klassen) and several siblings. Henry cherished his faith in Jesus Christ and we will remember him for his kindness, humility, patience, good jokes, storytelling and his heart of gold. Throughout his life, he gladly volunteered in various positions at his church. He retired from Transit with 28 and one half years of service and during his retirement worked 16 years at River City Ford and enjoyed countless hours with his coffee friends. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Morrow Gospel Church (755 St. Anne's Rd.) Interment will take place at the Eigenhof Cemetery at 3:30 p.m. Viewing will be at Morrow Gospel Church on Monday, June 5, 2017 from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service. Our Condolances to Henrys Family and Friends. We knew Henry from just walking through the GP Mall everyday as he would head to Tims for coffee with his friends. He was the brightest most cheerfull man who had a big smile and a hello for everyone! He will be sadly missed.
