ALIDA BOUCHARD On June 21, 2017, at the age of 93, our mother Alida (née Dupuis) of St. Jean Baptiste, passed away peacefully at Foyer Valade. Mourning her loss are her children, Claudette, (Yolande), Diane (Joe), Raymond, Jeannette, Laurette (Marcien), Pierre (Michelle), and Gérald (Lisa). She will also be greatly missed by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Alida is also survived by her brothers, Theodore (Germaine), Jean-Guy (Jeannette), Arthur, and in-laws, Irène, Roma, Andréa, Marie, Rita, Lorraine, Denise, Marie-Ange, Albert (Jacqueline), Edouard, and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be reunited with her husband Edmond and her son Adrien (Yolande), and siblings, Roger, René, Aimé, Ulysse, Gérard, and Thérèse, as well as many in-laws from both families. Mom took great pleasure in family gatherings, gardening, knitting, reading, playing cards, painting, and her many grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook. Special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Foyer Valade for their compassionate and continuous care. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Jean Baptiste Church on Tuesday, June 27 at 4:00 p.m. Eulogy will begin at 3:45 p.m. Interment will take place in the Parish Cemetery. La photo d'Alida lui fait justice. On se souvient de son beau sourire et on se souviens de son rire. Elle était une femme aimable mais elle pouvait s'affirmer. Diane and Family I am very sorry for your loss. My thoughts are with you today and I will be thinking of all of you on Tuesday. I did not know your Mother but I did hear about her through Diane and remember lovely stories about her artistic talents and her strong character.
