Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryALFRED FONTAINE It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Alfred, father, brother and grandfather, on June 22, 2017, at 92 years. He is survived by his daughters, Marilyn (Marvin) and Audrey; grandchildren, Robbie, Marlene (Leah), Damon (Samantha), Pauline and Jazzy; great-grandchildren, Blayse (Jordan), Max, Corbin and Allie; great-great-grandchildren, Miles, Hunter, Xavier, Lily and Harlow; brother Gabrielle Bryuere; special cousin Charlotte, and numerous friends and relatives. He was predeceased by his lifelong love Joanne, and son Hebert. Alfred was born in Pine Falls, Manitoba on February 6, 1925. He was raised in Fort Alexander, Manitoba. Dad started his career working as a Pulp Cutter and then spent many years working at the Paper Mill in Pine Falls, Manitoba. After his retirement he spent his years in Selkirk. His sense of humour and kind spirit were felt by many. He enjoyed playing hockey in his younger years, and loved spending time with family and close friends, playing guitar and singing. We would like to thank the staff at Betel Home in Selkirk for their compassion and care they provided to him. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk, MB with cremation to follow.
